| The staff of Advance Savings Credit Union recently presented a cheque in the amount of $845.22 to Chantal Saucier, Manager of the Eastern District of the Canadian Cancer Society in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The funds were raised through a bake sale, a casual pink day and a Canadian Cancer Society “Girls Night In” event. “According to the Canadian Cancer Society’s website, breast cancer is the most frequently occurring cancer in women in New Brunswick,” says Jennifer Marr, Community Promotions Officer for Advance Savings Credit Union. “Most of the staff members at Advance Savings have been affected by breast cancer in some way or another; whether it’s been a family member, friend or co-worker, and so we wanted to do our part to help raise funds in support of finding a cure.” back |
